REDS fans were praised after the quarter final of the Champions League for not getting involved in violent clashes with Juventas fans in Turin.
Experts and fan groups feared that Italian police could dish out some heavy treatment to the away supporters if they suspected they could be trying to start trouble.
But instead it was groups of Italian fans that clashed with police on the day - and Reds supporters were conspicuous by not being involved in any violence.
And while the Inter Milan - AC Milan derby had to be abandoned partway through the game after hooligans repeatedly threw flares onto the pitch, the Liverpool match went off with little trouble.
Even when Juventus fans hurled missiles at the Liverpool fans during the match, the travelling contingent remained cool and didn't retaliate.
