Rafa Benitez’s days at Liverpool are numbered insists legend Ronnie Whelan

LIVERPOOL legend Ronnie Whelan has launched a withering attack on Rafa Benitez and claimed the manager’s days at Anfield “are numbered”. Whelan, who won six league titles and the European Cup during a 14-year career with the Reds, was aghast at his old side’s capitulation at Fulham on Saturday. He believes the decision to substitute Fernando Torres and Yossi Benayoun gave Fulham the initiative in a game Liverpool could ill-afford to lose and he says showed where Benitez’s priorities lie.
