Ryan Babel confident his first team chance will come

SEARCHING for positives amid the wreckage of Liverpool’s defeat to Fiorentina in midweek was a desperate business. The Reds slipped well below their usual high standards as their six-game winning run was brought to an abrupt halt. Rafa Benitez labelled the opening 45 minutes the worst of his Anfield tenure and skipper Steven Gerrard admitted “we just didn’t turn up”. The manager has much to ponder ahead of Sunday’s crunch Premier League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. A major improvement will be demanded and if Benitez opts to ring the changes for the trip to the capital Ryan Babel is ready and waiting for the call.
