STEVEN GERRARD has become the latest worrying addition to Liverpool's escalating injury list.
The Reds' skipper is out of tomorrow's Champions League game in Bordeaux with a hamstring strain picked up during Saturday's draw with Blackburn.
And he joins Daniel Agger, Robbie Fowler and almost certainly Dirk Kuyt as non-starters in France, although Momo Sissoko has been given an 80% chance of shaking off an ankle injury.
Kuyt was also with the travelling squad which left Liverpool airport this morning, but boss Rafa Benitez rates his chances of playing as no greater than "20%".
It is Gerrard's injury which is the biggest blow, however, although Benitez stressed his absence was precautionary and he hoped his skipper would be fit for Sunday's trip to Old Trafford.
"Steven felt something in his hamstring after Saturday's game," explained Benitez. "Two days later it feels the same so we have to be careful and wait another two or three days.
"It could be a risk if we decided to use the player tomorrow. If it was the last game of the season then he would play, definitely, but now it would be a risk.
"Steven is important to us because he can change things and can change games, but we have a good squad."
