WITH a triumphant look on his face, Steven Gerrard can be seen standing next to the Champions League Trophy flanked by his manager, Rafael Benitez.
But look again. For this is not an image from the historic final between Liverpool and AC Milan in Turkey earlier this year - it is a re-creation of the scene made entirely from Lego.
Artists Darren Neave and John Cake - who are known as The Little Artists - have built the work from the toy bricks and it will go on display at Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery later this week.
Other pieces that will go on show there include Lego adaptions of Tracey Emin's My Bed and Damien Hirst's shark in formaldehyde.
The two artists have also even managed to make a tiny homage to Salvador Dali's lobster phone. The exhibition - called "Art Craziest Nation" - does not only show well-known people from the world of sport and art, it also shows a model of an art gallery.
The artists have been collecting Lego bricks since they were children and say this is why they decided to make the miniature works from them.
At yesterday's press showing, Mr Neave, 32, who is originally from Lincoln, claimed the exhibition shows integrity of form and said that they were true to the Lego ethos.
He added that this was because they used no glue or paint to alter the bricks in any way.
