Garcia: Barca with Henry would be "terrifying"

Jan 26 2006

Arsenal striker Thierry Henry

LUIS GARCIA, who is struggling to be fit for Sunday, believes Barcelona would be "terrifying" with Thierry Henry in their side.

Despite denials from Highbury that Henry is going to the Spanish champions, and with the player saying he wants to stay with the Gunners, there are still constant claims from the Catalan capital that the Frenchman is "90% certain" to be at the Nou Camp next season.

Now Spanish schemer Garcia, a former Barcelona player, has stepped into the debate, and said: "I have no doubt that if he signed for Barcelona their forward line would be even more terrifying than it is already.

"Henry seems like a good person and would fit in well at Camp Nou, where there are very good people. The competition for places would be incredibly high.

"Henry's speed is spectacular - he is the quickest there is and also very powerful. That allows him to score many goals."
