CRAIG BELLAMY is Anfield bound after Blackburn today confirmed they've accepted a bid in the region of £6m.
Rovers chairman John Williams says Liverpool have been given permission to meet the player, and the transfer will proceed if Bellamy and the Reds agree terms.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez will now hold talks with the Welshman and make a final decision shortly.
Bellamy is currently on holiday in Greece, but there's unlikely to be much delay now Liverpool have been granted the opportunity to speak to the striker and his advisors.
Benitez said today he was eager to meet the playerbefore deciding whether to agree to a deal.
"We have an agreement which allows us to talk to the player," Benitez told the ECHO.
"He is on holiday, but we will talk over the next few days. I know the player's qualities very well. He is a very good footballer and now we need to see if he has the passion to play for our club.
"I don't think this will be a problem because he is a Liverpool fan, so I think it will be easy for him.
"I will be talking to him to express my ideas. He has the ability, the pace and the talent we've been looking for and now we need to talk about other things."
