JUST minutes after signing the biggest commercial deal in Liverpool’s history - the £80m shirt sponsorship agreement with Standard Chartered Bank - new Liverpool FC Managing Director Christian Purslow sat down at Anfield and spoke to Echo Sports Editor John Thompson about a range of issues.
These included how he saw his new role, his relationship with American co-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks, his views on the stalled Anfield Stadium plan, and his take on the debts which currently surround the club.
Lifelong Liverpool fan and former top city banker Purslow also discussed how he intends to restore harmony and unity within the club.
