Sarah had to be at her tutorial for 8am the next day but, she says, her preoccupation with the final did pay dividends.
While she was thinking of what she'd missed, she penned ashort play about adad and son making abanner to take to Istanbul. Willy suggested she enter it for a playwriting competition - and Sarah won.
Now, she says, she's intending to take up playwriting as acareer. "I'd never shown anything to anyone before but winning the competition has encouraged me to dust off files of stuff I've had for years.
"I know Imade the right decision. Imight not be able to get on another course with Willy Russell, but we're going to win loads more European cups!"
