Jamaica’s all time most capped player signed for Tranmere in February 2004 after a delayed application for a work permit. Goodison was the captain of the infamous ‘Reggae Boys’ at the 1998 World Cup.
Ian Goodison arrived to strengthen a defence conceding too many goals and prone to making simple errors. Signed by former manager Brian Little Goodison struggled to recapture the form that had seen him awarded with the player of the year award at Little’s former club HullCity.
