Mersey Beat

TODAY is your last chance to win a replica copy of the first-ever copy of Mersey Beat magazine.

Mersey Beat was the magazine that saw it all, charting the irresistible rise of the beat scene - and The Beatles above all - from the early 1960s.

Founded and edited by Bill Harry, Mersey Beat was Liverpool's own rock newspaper - and the very publication where Brian Epstein first came across the Fab Four.

We've teamed up with The Beatles Story to give away 10 exclusive replicas of the very first issue - dated July 1961 - which includes an article by John Lennon explaining, tongue-in-cheek, the origins of the Beatles' name.

The reprint of Mersey Beat volume 1, number 1 is available to buy from RockandPopShop.com (www.rockandpopshop.com ) - but for your chance to win a copy, simply answer the question on the next page.

The closing date is September 10 2005.
