THE timing couldn't be better or more poignant," says musician Ian Watts who is bringing his musical show Come Together Right Now to Liverpool's Empire in the week of the 25th anniversary of John Lennon's death.
The singer says: "It's a tribute to the life, talent and - most importantly - the legacy of John Lennon.
"To be playing YOUR city, especially with it being the last date on our tour, is so special."
This musical theatre show celebrates the life and music of not just Lennon but Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
"I first got into John's music after his death and then I started getting into Paul's music and Wings - before then I was an Elvis fan," says Ian..
"So it was, sadly, through John's death, that I finally discovered his genius for emotion, powerful angst, love, peace and political anthems."
Come Together Right Now sees German singer Johnny Silver, born near Hamburg, appear as the mercurial John while Ian, from Nottingham, plays Paul McCartney. First Beatles manager Allan Williams was so impressed with the band's last Liverpool gig he said: "I thought it was J L playing the Cavern."
But Come Together Right Now very nearly DIDN'T come together at all.
Yoko Ono, along with the Lennon Estate Solicitors and the Sony Music Corporation, were not at first keen on the project due to copyright problems.
