Sadly, I have his birthday and the day he was taken from us on my British passport after a visit to the USA in 1980. Still missed sadly today.
For me John meant a lot. He was like a good friend. He will always be in my mind. Thank you for all fantastic music you made.

To me as a kid, he and the others represented a new look, a new way of expressing yourself and definitely a new sound.
I mostly feel sorry for John, firstly for his untimely death. Secondly, it seems of all Beatles, he got lost and couldn't find his way back. I feel he might have been getting close to finding fulfilment again, but then his life was taken from him. But the music he made with the Beatles will always be with us and making many people happy. And if that's not success, and a successful life, nothing is!
