THOUSANDS of pounds-worth of souvenirs were damaged when a fire broke out at the Beatles Story Exhibition in the Albert Dock.
No one was injured in the blaze which broke out in a stock room of the popular exhibition, and the priceless memorabilia were also unaffected by the fire.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said that the blaze broke out in the warehouse basement and a significant quantity of cardboard boxes were completely destroyed.
It was estimated around £10,000-worth of souvenir stock at the popular tourist attraction was ruined.
