Business festival ready for take-off

THERE are just five days to go until the launch of BusinessLIVE 2005 - a four day festival of business and commerce in Merseyside.

Organised by the Liverpool Daily Post & Echo, BusinessLIVE features seminars, exhibitions and glittering awards ceremonies.

It all kicks off on Monday, June 13, when many of the people involved in BusinessLIVE will gather at Liverpool's London Carriage Works Restaurant for a special launch night.

The following day sees the start of BusinessEXPO 2005 in the impressive surroundings of the City Exchange, Old Hall Street, which is located in the heart of the city's business district.

City Exchange is the entrance to the Liverpool Daily Post & Echo.

BusinessEXPO is a fantastic and vibrant two-day business to business exhibition where you will find a dazzling array of companies showcasing their innovative products and services

It will see companies from many sectors exhibiting their products and services to hundreds of potential customers.

As well as being a fabulous opportunity for business people to network and raise the profile of their companies, the event will also feature a fascinating seminar programme where experts will impart their knowledge and experience.

Top industry professionals will give detailed insights into their own methods and philosophies and pass on top tips to help improve your business.

The impressive list of speakers includes pensions experts; Steven Hennessey from the Dale Carnegie Institute; Chris Green from the Culture Company; Nighat Awan of the Shere Khan restaurant chain and Simon Woodroffe from YO!.

In the main BusinessEXPO arena businesses will be able to pitch themselves at potential clients and customers and assess their competition. They will also have the opportunity to launch new products, build brand awareness and position their products as market leaders.

Sectors represented this year include IT, marketing, logistics, finance corporate fund and hospitality, office equipment, education and training, coaching, telecommunications, printing and many more.

Exhibitors will be able to take advantage of an audience where four in five people are involved in buying their products.

On Wednesday, June 15, the Liverpool ECHO Enterprise Champions Awards will take place at The Supper Club in Liverpool and the following evening sees one of the biggest

events in the North West Business Calendar - the Daily Post Regional Business Awards (RBA).

The RBA provides a glittering finale to BusinessLIVE 2005 and seeks to reward the very best of business talent across the region.

Hundreds of people will gather at Liverpool's St George's Hall for an evening of award presentations and top notch entertainment.

On Monday the Daily Post will publish an in-paper supplement giving full details of everything that is happening during the four days of BusinessLIVE 2005 and featuring a full timetable of events.
