THERE are plenty of good reasons to visit this week's BusinessLIVE exhibition.
As well as numerous stands with information on the wide range of services available locally, there are some good offers to take advantage of.
These range from champagne to shampoo.
They also include some offers that are commercially useful. Top of the list in this category is free advertising from Viacom, which looks after adverts on the local rail network. The ads include posters in local railway stations and aboard buses on Merseyside.
Advertising on offer is worth up to £3,000 - subject to certain terms and conditions.
The champers and shampoo is on offer at Viacom's stand, too. It will be running competitions to win the goodies throughout the duration of the exhibition. So there are plenty of reasons to get along to see them.
The Empire theatre, owned by Clearchannel Entertainment, is offering two VIP tickets to see Starlight Express when it comes to the theatre next week for a six-week run. The lucky winner gets the use of private members' lounge, complimentary programme and interval drink.
There is also a free stress ball on offer from design company Abstract Thinking, and it is running a competition to win a meal at Terrace Sea Restaurant in Heswall.
The week of events ends with the Daily Post's Regional Business Awards. This is the grand climax held in St George's Hall on Thursday.
The black tie awards recognises the huge contribution businesses of all sizes are making to the area's prosperity.
The event will be hosted by BBC broadcaster Peter Sissons, a native Liverpudlian who is becoming a fixture at the awards.
The guest speaker is Michael Caulfield, a sports psychologist.
Some of the workshops on offer are proving very popular and anyone who wants to get in will need to book tickets for the morning events.
The Daily Post's celebratory launch party, which coincides with the paper's own 150th anniversary, takes place at the London Carriage Works on Hope Street. This is one of the city's best restaurants, a claim which is supported by its recent best new restaurant award at the national finals of the Restaurant and Bar Industry Theme awards.
That follows an earlier success when the restaurant won the regional heats of the same competition.
Patron Paul Askew said: "We are ecstatic. Acknowledgement by the industry means that we can continue to attract the best new talent to the London Carriage Works and continue to raise the standard of dining in Liverpool."
