THIS month's ECHO Enterprise Champions Awards final is the ideal event for host venue Pan Am since its takeover last year.
Preston-based JI Entertainments bought the trendy Albert Dock-based bar and restaurant complex from the now defunct Lyceum group in September with the aim of reaching a more inclusive audience, but with a particular flair for corporate events.
The event, on June 28, when we reveal the winners of the six Enterprise Champions Awards categories in our fifth annual competition, celebrates the cream of the region's small and medium-sized businesses.
It will be one of the highlights for Pan Am, said JI Entertainments operations manager Colin Stuart.
"Hosting the Enterprise Champions final makes a real statement forPan Am and we've no doubt the event will be one of the highlights in our 2006 calendar.
"We're looking forward to hosting the Liverpool ECHO and the city's many movers and shakers and it's a chance to further extend our hospitality to what is very much our target audience," he added.
Pan Am is a contemporary bar and restaurant in the Grade I listed Britannia Pavilion and offers an opportunity to relax and wine and dine in the plush décor of one of its intimate booths or dance to the weekly live entertainment.
JI also acquired Albert Dock bars BLUE and baby blue in the September takeover, but chief executive Peter Church said: "2008 will be heavily associated with the waterfront area and I see Pan Am as the single most important venue."
Contenders in this year's awards will be joined by colleagues, business partners and family members.
