THE shortlist for the Liverpool ECHO Enterprise Champions Awards 2005 has been finalised.

They are: Micro Business of the Year (sponsored by the Liverpool ECHO):

Best Small Business (sponsored by Business Liverpool):
A Algeo; Powder Systems Ltd; Vitaflo International.

Best New Business (sponsored by Business Link for Greater Merseyside):
Neat 3D; Aerogistics; Break Bread.

Social Enterprise of the Year (sponsored by 2020 Liverpool):
Acorn Venture Association; Knowsley Development Trust; Partnership for Learning.

Young Business Person of the Year (sponsored by Liverpool Chamber of Commerce):
Gemma Hindley (Sandon/Sam Dodds); James Sheridan (A Algeo); Mark Wynne (Neat 3D).

Enterprise Champion 2005 (sponsored by Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank):
Vitaflo International; Baa Bar; Powder Systems Ltd.

Preparations are now in full swing for the awards night on June 15 at The Supper Club on Blundell Street, hosted by TV personality and local businessman Simon O' Brien.

The Enterprise Champions Awards, in association with Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank and supported by Business Link for Greater Merseyside, form part of Business-LIVE, a key programme of events by the Liverpool Daily Post & ECHO between June 13-16 designed to encourage business growth.

After the June 13 launch a two day BusinessEXPO in the ECHO's City Exchange takes place, alongside two days of business seminars.
