FORMERLY the Masque theatre, now one of six Barflys scattered across the nation, this venue is proving popular with students and locals alike.
The old theatre has played host to a number of indie and rock bands, and is definately a place to catch them while they're small.
Big names such as Razorlight and Arctic Monkeys have appeared there in the past, along with up-and-coming bands both local and not so local.
Friday indie night 'Panic' is becoming established as the place to be for indie kids, having tempted some of the country's top indie DJ's up to Liverpool to spin the wheels of steel.
Those looking for something different may find what they're after in the form of 'Mixed Bag', a regular Thursday club night which does exactly what it says in the tin.
The venue also plays host to the legendary eclectic house of the Chibuku Shake Shake team.
