The song has been tipped for chart success by successful songwriters Cathy Dennis and Liverpool-born Guy Chambers.

Guy said: "If Derail and Crash was to be released tomorrowit would instantly be-come a top 10 hit."

The other songs featured are Tommy Fredvang's radio tune Wait for Me; Trym's Ghost Song; Livin It Right by Lydia Johnsen, and Whatever Happened by Cottonear.

Lipa 1st has been launched by the Lipa Records group, whose members are in their second year of a BA (Hons) arts, music and entertainment management course.

Project leader Oliver Tuercke said: "The decision to release the album exclusively online reflects the current trends in the industry."

In June, Sandi Thom became the first Lipa graduate to have a number one hit with her record I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair).

She made her name broadcasting live gigs on the inter-net from her basement flat in London.
