"Miss Adelaide is such a wonderful part and Guys and Dolls is such a wonderful show, with so many fabulous songs and so many hits: Luck be a Lady, Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat and Guys and Dolls."
Set in New York in the 1940s, small time gambler Nathan Detroit (Swayze) bets his pal, Sky Masterson, that he can make the first woman he sees fall in love with him.
When the next 'doll' happens to be prim and proper missionary Sarah Brown, his work is cut out for him with entertaining results.
"Sometimes when you get a show where the music is of such a high calibre, the story doesn't work, but in Guys and Dolls it's very strong. It's brilliant," adds Claire.
But such an action-packed show means for hard work for its performers.
And, although one of the last times Look spoke to Claire she had just brought out an exercise and fitness dvd, even she's had to step up her game a little for this.
"I have been training and getting fit," she says, "although the rehearsals themselves are keeping me extremely fit.
"It was the same with Chicago and Fosse," Walton born Claire continues, referring to her other recent stage successes. "Incorporating singing and dancing and acting certainly keeps the energy levels up.
"So I just make sure I get plenty of rest and look after myself. I've been living like a nun lately," she laughs.
Getting back on the stage was a deliberate move for Claire, who has spent much of her time lately doing television work with shows like 60 Minute Makeover.
"I made a conscious decision this year to do more TV drama or a really good musical.
