Hamburg, alas, went on to become one of the most bombed cities in Germany and Bossyani was to discover after the war that the windows had not survived.
However, he had made an extra copy for his records and it is these, known as the Dr. Julius panels, that are now due to go on show.
His work was said to reflect a central theme of "man's need to live in harmony with nature".
Bossyani, who also worked in oils and ceramics, died in 1975.
His son has donated the panels to the museum but time has blunted some of the colours.
The panels have been taken to Liverpool's Conservation Centre where they will be restored to their original brilliance.
"Bossyani has a growing reputation and we are hoping to put this important work on display later this year," says World of Glass curator Jo Hayward.
