CRIKEY! It’s already July and your holiday to-do list seems to be getting longer by the minute.
There’s the hotel to book, clothes to buy and a 101 deadlines to hit. And to top it all you’re certainly not toned enough to bare all on the beach.
But getting fit before going away is not just about losing weight. It’s about having the stamina to see the sights and make the most of your environment in a limited amount of time.
The key to getting healthier before your holiday is to find activities that are so easy that you won’t even notice you’re exercising.
So, if you’re a couch potato that doesn’t spend much time outside, make yourself walk in the fresh air for at least ten minutes a day – take a gentle stroll to the shops instead of taking the car or jump off a stop early if you take the bus.
Not only will it boost your metabolism and help stretch out muscles, the natural light will raise your vitamin D levels.
Alternatively, if pounding the pavement is your idea of torture, then why not make the most of your daily chores?
