Here’s one thing you can tick off your list: healthy eating.
Liverpool’s Five-A-Day’s new front desk scheme delivers daily fruit to your office, encouraging you and your colleagues to swap those calorific muffins and cream topped coffees for something altogether healthier.
“Although fruit are rich sources of health protecting vitamins and minerals, most of us don’t eat enough them,” says Brian Jones from the Liverpool’s Five-A-Day project.
“That’s why the Liverpool’s Primary Care Trust has launched the front desk scheme. All employees have to do is give me a ring and I’ll ensure that they get a delivery of fresh fruit every day.”
The project has been welcomed by Liverpool’s businesses.
A spokeswoman for Hurst Accountants says: “I think this is a great way to keep employees healthier in that it removes the temptation to go shopping for fatty or sugary treats when the mid-afternoon munchies strike.”
Not only will the change keep the calories at bay, but it will also keep you more alert, active and more focused on your work.
