HONDA has introduced a range of cheaper ways to get behind the wheel of its cars in what it refers to as an early summer price offensive.
The five-door Civic 1.4-litre DSI SE hatchback costs £150 per month at a new rate of 5.9 per cent whilst the Civic 2.2 i-CTDi EX with a glass roof, leather upholstery, sat nav, cruise control and dual-zone climate control costs £285 per month.
The Type R GT with air conditioning, automatic lights, wipers and fog lamps is available for £255 per month at an interest rate of 7.9 per cent.
The CR-V 2.0-litre SE manual is available at £205 per month at an APR of 5.9 per cent while the 2.2-litre i-CTDi SE costs from £210 per month. Higher specification models get a raised rate of 7.9 per cent.
The Honda Jazz 50:50 incentive means paying 50 per cent of the full list price. After paying £5 per month for 11 months there is then the option to make the second 50 per cent payment or upgrade to another new Honda Jazz, remembering that the range is to be revised later this year.
In the case of the Jazz 1.4-litre SE manual the list price is £11,260. The deposit would be £5,630 with 11 monthly payments of £5. A final payment of £5,680 brings the total to £11,365, which is an interest rate of 1.9 per cent.
However, anyone who decides to buy the car has to spend a further £50 on what Honda calls an option-to-buy fee.
The six-seat FR-V attracts the same rate of interest as the Civic at 5.9 per cent, meaning a 1.8 i-VTEC SE manual costs £240 per month.
Contract Hire rates for the Civic, CR-V, FR-V, the current Accord and Legend are also available and are based on a three-year contract with three months deposit and 35 monthly payments.
