THE radio city beacon dominates Liverpool's city centre skyline. Standing 452 feet above sea level the views over the city from the beacon are spectacular.
The tower was once a revolving restaurant but in recent years has been converted into the Radio City station.
For the energetic visitor there is the chance to walk 540 stairs to the top of the tower, however the lift is the quicker more relaxing option. Climbing the 452 feet in thirty seconds it carries the public to the 86-foot crow's nest.
The tower is located in St Johns shopping centre and tickets for the tour cost around £9.95 for adults and £7.95 for children. Family tickets and concessions are available.
