An excellent first outing for the Czechs with Nedved and Rosicky exuding quality all afternoon and they were the reason that the Czechs could ease to a win over the one-dimensional Americans

An exquisite ball from Nedved sent Rosicky clean through on goal from 35 yards out and he showed great composure to lift the ball past the advancing Keller to wrap up this game
The US put together their best move with Donovan freeing Convey down the left and he sends in a great cross behind the Czech defence for Johnson to attack, but Petr Cech comes and claims well
Lokvenc is once again caught offside - he really does seem unaware of how to play on the shoulder of the defenders
Johnson is involved again, breaking into the box from the right-hand side but his shot is blocked by Jankulovski
Johnson turns his defender well before rifling in a shot which flies narrowly wide with Cech nowhere
The US look bereft of ideas, surely they have to shake things up soon if they have any ideas of getting anything from this match
Rosicky once again unleashes a venomous shot from long range, but this time it cannons off the bar with Keller well and truly beaten
Reyna loses the ball on the edge of the area and Nedved picks it up before dinking a ball over for Jankulovski at the far stick but he can't get his shot away as Beasley comes in to clear the danger
Poborsky tries to latch onto a long ball fired deep into the area but he can't quite get it all under control and his shot flies into the stands
Poborsky threads an exquisite ball through for Lokvenc on the edge of the area, but Lewis gets back to ensure the big man can't get any power into his shot
Reyna is rightly booked after sliding into the back of Nedved - it's one way of stopping him

Lokvenc criminally drifts offside as neat play by Nedved and Rosicky could have given him a clean run on goal
Some beautiful, intricate play down the left by the Czechs is halted by an offside flag on Nedved
Poborsky fires over a free kick from level with the right-hand edge of the area and Ujfalusi meets it at the near post but his header loops past the far upright

Half time and the Czech's joy at having a two-goal lead is tempered by the loss of Koller as his participation in the rest of the tournament now looks doubtful. In this match though, the Czechs look comfortable, handling most of what the US has to offer and happy to play on the break which is providing ample reward

The US fail to clear their lines from a Nedved cross and the ball falls to Rosicky 30 yards out and he controls before striking a wonderful shot which flies past Keller for what will be a contender for goal of the tournament
Cherundolo clips over a nice cross from the right but it's headed clear as Convey stole in unmarked at the far post
Koller is caught offside twice in quick succession - the big man isn't renowned for his blistering pace off the shoulder of the last defender!
Pope is caught out by a ball over the top but does well to get back and block Nedved before he can get a shot away

Reyna wallops a shot from long range which beats Petr Cech but comes flying back out off the inside of the post
Reading's Bobby Convey tries to beat the right full back but Grygera tackles him well before bring the ball away - he's had an impressive start
Nedved gets to the byline and whips in a dangerous cross which is just too high for Koller but Grygera meets it at the back post but cannot divert it back across goal
Mcbride wins a header in the box, but there is no-one supporting from midfield and the ball is hacked clear
The US are relying on long balls to McBride and it's not really working. They really need to play a bit more
Koller is getting a lot of joy out of the American defence and Nedved is looking for anything that comes off him
Landon Donovan ran at the heart of the Czech defence and David Rozehnal blatantly blocks him as he runs past him. A deserved caution although the free kick , 30 yards out, is wasted
Oguchi Onyewu sends a fifty-yard straight ball into Brian Mcbride, but the Fulham striker fails to bring it down under pressure from two defenders. The Czechs wont be worried if that is all the US have to offer

Eddie Lewis tries to find Brian Mcbride but Tomas Ujfalusi diverts the ball for a corner, which is subsequently dealt with by the Czech defence
Nedved and Rosicky combine at pace but an offside flag brings them back. The US are holding a high line, and the pace in the Czech line up could cause problems
